Jacob Wohl's Fake P.I. Firm Ghosted on Ex-Homeless Woman Looking For Her Stolen Truck

Source: The Daily Beast

Julienne Adams began to suspect something was awry with Surefire Intelligence when all of its phone numbers suddenly disconnected.

Adams, a 35-year-old Washington state native, had hired the private investigations firm to recover damages for a truck she says was stolen. She had found Surefire through postings on Craigslist, where it billed its impressive roster of former Israeli intelligence agents and other experts in financial and criminal investigations. Its website appeared to be legitimate, and Adams even found a pair of glowing writeups about the company on the publishing platform Medium. She eventually ponied up $1,200 for Surefire’s services.

Adams had spoken with the firm’s ostensible managing partner, Matthew Cohen, last Friday, and he was optimistic about recovering tens of thousands of dollars from the man whom Adams accused of stealing her Hummer. They were scheduled for an in-person meeting in Portland, Oregon, near her home in southern Washington, on Tuesday.

Then the whole thing blew up. Cohen, it turns out, doesn’t actually exist. His real name is Jacob Wohl, and he’s a pro-Trump twitter troll and former teenage hedge fund manager with the dubious distinction of being the youngest person ever to earn a lifetime trading ban from the National Futures Association.

It's in their DNA. They're all hardwired for criminal activity. Some are better at it than others, but 99.9% of them are fucking morans.

of Jacob's lawyer-daddy David Wohl? This guy's another major-domo tRump asskisser in a clear case of the apple not falling far from the tree. Between this father-son tag team, looks like they've registered a whole bunch of shady-A businesses that, from what we've seen of everything else so far, there's a high likelihood of finding a boatload of "clients" who've been ripped off---class action suit, perhaps?

I know the Arizona Corporation Commission found one of their companies guilty of securities fraud in a case that was brought by only two clients whose money they took.

If she paid the money, then this has to be a scam that can be prosecuted, right? I hope she has receipts. They know who is behind it, they know that the founder of that firm was operating under a false name with a made up website with fictional employees and fictional stories about what they were have been doing in the past.

So far, because he had a lawyer by his side, I was fearing that Wohl would get away with smearing Muller because a lawyer has to know the boundaries of what is allowed. But this case was probably done without the lawyer's knowledge. No lawyer can be that dumb and ignorant. Wohl probably thought he could make some extra bucks or he thought he could actually be an investigator and find the truck. Not sure which scenario is more ridiculous.

Edit: Finally read to the end, and wow, he is a disturbing con man. He told her about a settlement for the car of 20k and when this whole Surefire thing ended in the fiasco and her story was made public, he claimed she sold the car and tried to scam the buyer. Yeah, makes sense that the buyer of the car would have approved a 20k settlement if he had bought the car. This is some insane stuff.
