Russian President Vladimir Putin said he had a brief but good conversation with US leader Donald Trump at World War I centenary events in Paris, Russian media reported.

When journalists asked Putin whether he managed to speak to Trump on Sunday, he said: "Yes," Russian state news agency RIA Novosti reported. Asked how it went, Putin said: "Well."

He did not provide further details, but the French presidency said the pair had a wide-ranging discussion during lunch after the commemoration.

Host and French President Emmanuel Macron was there, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel took part in some of the exchanges, the presidency said.

3. Wow, per The Atlantic, Trump took a limo under the Arc de Triomphe while all the others walked!

"While Macron, Merkel, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Justin Trudeau, and more than 80 world leaders and leaders of major world organizations arrived in buses, walking solemnly in the rain together to take their place under the Arc de Triomphe, Trump arrived solo, in his own motorcade."

Idiot!

Sleep well tonight, not. Our freedoms are being sacrificed for the sake of our glorious leader's ego. Forget voting rights. Those of the minorities and anyone who could be a treat to their ability to rip off the elections are being flushed down the toilet. Welcome to the new banana republic of the Americas. How glorious that now we share so much in common with our neighbors in South America who are so rightfully intolerant of meddlers clamoring for just elections. Soon we can look forward to the effective means of controlling elections by jailing the opposition and increasing voter suppression with gerrymandering just as soon as we stop these wild eyed journalisted from publishing any "fake news."

Trump doesn't have an attention span long enough to have a conversation.

The purpose here is to:

A - Give the idea that his power extends to controlling the US President.
B - Create doubt of the legitimacy of the Presidency.

Trump is either too stupid or careless to care. He’s being used as a continuous fire bomb in Russia’s war against the US. I seriously doubt his advisers haven’t warned him against what Putin is doing. That’s the sad part.
