Trump Makes Wild, Baseless Voter Fraud Claim: People ‘Go to Their Car,’ Change Their Hat and Shirt, and ‘Vote Again’

In an interview with the Daily Caller on Wednesday afternoon, President Donald Trump continued to float baseless conspiracy theories regarding the recounts currently ongoing in Florida.

Trump baselessly complained that Republicans “don’t win and that’s because of potentially illegal votes.” The president didn’t stop there, also accusing individuals of voting multiple times.

“Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again,” Trump said, without providing a single shred of evidence for the explosive claim. “It’s really a disgrace what’s going on.”

Trump seized on the moment, using it to renew his push for national voter ID laws.

I live in NC. I went to vote. They ask you a few questions which others could answer. Sign the form, get your ballot and vote. One thing that I don't like are the machines you put your ballot in. It sounds like a shredder. I can see a state ID but not national.

after being scanned. If you want, it is perfectly fine to stick around until after 8PM to witness the bin being unlocked and the ballots placed into boxes for transport back to city hall. The results are transmitted wirelessly, paper tape reports are printed and the USB memory device is placed in an envelope for transport. This year, they went to city hall in my car's trunk. If anyone wanted to follow me, I'd be fine with that. You can't go into city hall ( I think ) but you could watch me every step of the way as I drove them them back. You could drive into the Police Department garage to watch me take them from my trunk to the door 10 feet from where they are logged in. To cheat, one would have to hack the ballot counter and alter ballots in the boxes. The number of ballots is separately accounted for by multiple machine and human counts. No one person could alter the results.
