Graham urges McConnell to allow vote on bill to protect Mueller

Source: The Hill

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 11/18/18 10:53 AM EST

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday urged Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to bring legislation that would protect special counsel Robert Mueller up for a vote.

"[McConnell's] the majority leader, not me. But if it were up to me we’d be voting on the bill and see where the votes are at," Graham said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

The South Carolina senator said there's "no indication" that President Trump or acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker are going to interfere with the special counsel, but that "the best thing the Senate could do is just bring this bill to the floor and vote on it."

Calls for a vote on legislation to block Trump's ability to fire Mueller have grown in recent weeks after the president replaced Jeff Sessions as attorney general with Whitaker, who has spoken critically of the special counsel's investigation.

1. McConnell has a lot to lose if and when the Russia's actions in 2016 are revealed. Mitch ....

... was told about it and helped to cover it up. He is a traitor to this country.

"When Sen. Mitch McConnell was told by then–CIA Director John Brennan before the 2016 election that Vladimir Putin and Russia were attempting to interfere with the goal of assisting Donald Trump, McConnell’s response took him aback, according to Greg Miller, a Washington Post reporter who has just released a book about Putin, Trump, and the election. The majority leader said he wouldn’t sign on to any condemnation of Russia’s actions and that if the administration went public with the intelligence, McConnell would in turn call out Brennan as a partisan intervening on behalf of Hillary Clinton, Miller colorfully revealed in a CNN interview Tuesday."

6. Not to mention that the gop

had already received, and spent plenty of Russian "donations" Mitch did not want to cut off THAT supply. Besides, his wife got a lucrative government position for his co-operation.

9. For Putin's operation to flip our elections to be effective he had to have help inside America.

We had both acts of omission and comission by many republicans and Fox News in
what will be revealed as an act of war against the American people by Russia/Putin.

themselves and cheetolini?

18. Because many of them know they are targets of Mueller's investigation. They know what they did,

they know who's cooperating (e.g. Mariia Buttina), and they know that if Mueller brings indictments soon, they're on the list. McConnell is right near the top of that list.

3. Yeah, okay. I think they would construct the bill in such a manor that it may limit the

investigation further by adding restrictions. I'm not buying what Graham is selling. Until I see a clean bill that does not restrict the investigation I am skeptical of his intent.

13. Graham also said, ' . . . see where the votes are at'.

Graham has pretty good idea where the votes are at. Hmmm?

5. Lindsey and Bitchy Mitchy do great Kabuki:

One pretends to show concern; the other pretends to hear him out - and then doubles down on the wrongdoing.

7. KGOP Kabuki theater

I don't trust a damn thing the KGOP republicans say or do. They have proven themselves time and again to be lacking in honor, unworthy of trust.

14. Little Lindsey is just trying to clean up his

Image. Nothing will come of it,maybe a few blub's in the Media for a couple days, that will go away after he checks his polling numbers.

Lindsey is looking at 2020 run just like Romney and Ryan.
.
You just know he will protect Donnie until next July and then it will be Donnie who .

15. Trump would veto it

Then they would have to get two-thirds in each chamber to override. Not happening before January at the earliest with the new Congress and then two-thirds is still unlikely.

Be a bill the DEMS. could back! The wording would be totally AGAINST our values and beliefs! Then who would look bad? (In RUMPS base i'm thinking)

Can Mueller give any evidence he has to a state that can use it against federal employees?

19. Mueller can absolutely share evidence of state crimes with state prosecutors.

I believe he has been doing so for some time. The fuse is lit, no matter what tricks the Russiapublicans pull.
