Brenda Snipes submits resignation as Broward elections supervisor

Source: Sun-Sentinel

Just hours after finishing a tumultuous election recount, Broward Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes submitted her resignation, ending a 15-year tenure full of botched elections, legal disputes and blistering criticism.

“It is true. She did send it,” said Burnadette Norris-Weeks, an attorney who works as counsel to the Supervisor of Elections Office.

Evelyn Perez-Verdia, a former office spokeswoman who left several years ago, said Sunday evening she was told by people in the office that the letter was sent “to Tallahassee” earlier in the day.

Norris-Weeks said she saw an early draft of the letter. In the version she saw, she said Snipes, 75, expressed a desire to spend more time with her family.

Since she resigned, doesn't DeSantis get to name her replacement who would serve until the next election? If so, is there any doubt at all that he will just nominate another ringer, paid to fuck up elections in Dem Central in Fl, like Snipe was many years ago?

Remember those butterfly ballots in 2000? They were made for confusing voters.

10. Brenda Snipes, how fitting? In eBay, a snipe submits a bid in the last seconds to steal an auction.

Brenda snipes the election from the Democratic candidates.

13. You synch your device to eBay official time. Submit the bid around 7-10 seconds before bid close.

Sometimes if you do it sooner, the other bidders might see the update and press their bid before you can resubmit.

If you do if later, with less seconds remaining, network and back-end delays might not get it recorded in time.

Another tip, don't refresh the item page, as that increases the views and indicates to others that there is heightened interest in that item. It's best NOT to watch the item and not to view it often. Capture the date and time, and camp out on the bid page.

I do it too. Some people subscribe to bid services that do this programmatically, so winning a bid with a lot of watchers and views tends to be a problem winning otherwise.

It was deeply frowned upon in the earlier days of eBay... mostly because others did not perfect the technique. Now, it's commonplace, and often required to win a bid you've been waiting for for several hours or days.
