Despite President Donald Trump’s insistence to the contrary, the CIA determined that Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was “directly involved” in the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, said Rhode Island Sen. Jack Reed, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Trump has denied a report in The Washington Post that the CIA concluded that Mohammed ordered Khashoggi’s assassination, saying instead that intelligence officials just “have feelings about certain things.” The CIA’s assessment on the death of Khashoggi, who was killed inside the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul last month, has not been released to the public.

Asked Friday on CNN if the president was lying, Reed responded, “Yes.”

He added, “The CIA concluded that the crown prince of Saudi Arabia was directly involved in the assassination of Khashoggi. They did it, as has been reported to the press, with high confidence, which is the highest level of accuracy that they will vouch for. It’s based on facts. It’s based on analysis. The notion that they didn’t reach a conclusion is just unsubstantiated. The CIA has made that clear.”

1. I mean, I understand,

there is all of this talk that we can't talk impeachment because Republican traitors in the Senate won't convict. That's a piss poor reason to wait for impeachment but be that as it may, I understand. We are waiting for Mueller to drop bombs that even traitors can't deflect.

I just want to say that reading this thread gives another reason to impeach. Our president is lying to the American people about what our intelligence agencies are telling him. Add this to the stack of impeachable offenses.

Mueller could have video and audio of Trump giving Putin our launch codes, but people are living in another fake reality. If reason mattered we would all be laughing at spending billions of dollars to build a border wall instead we are taking it seriously.

I saw a former CIA agent on TV say that if they find intelligence that a person is going to be harmed, by law, they have a duty to warn said person. Did the CIA go to Trump and did Trump tell the CIA not to warn the journalist?

I would want those agents subpoenaed if I were Adam Schiff. What did Trump know and when did he know it?

I think he is more likely captive then captivated. He's probably being bribed and blackmailed by both the king of Saudi Arabia and the dictator of Russia. Trump is a traitor. In a true democracy he would have been impeached and jailed already.
