Exclusive poll: Public fears lawsuit over pre-existing conditions

Source: Axios

Sam Baker58 mins ago

Most Americans are worried about the effects of a lawsuit that could gut the Affordable Care Act's protections for pre-existing conditions — probably because most people have a family member with a pre-existing condition, according to an Axios/SurveyMonkey poll.

-snip-

By the numbers: A whopping 88% of those surveyed said it's very important or somewhat important to them that the ACA's protections for pre-existing conditions remain law.

74% — including a majority of Republicans — said they're at least somewhat worried about being able to afford health insurance if those protections vanish.

And 67% said someone in their household has a pre-existing condition.

Just another excuse to keep your Premium money and make more profit for the health insurance monopolies. But it's how capitalism rolls. So enjoy, soon they will come-up with another scam.

How about Self Incurred Injury....any injury you get that can be traced to something you did intentionally, your health insurance wont cover. Example: you are in a car accident. You decided to drive and take that risk, so your health insurance wont cover it.

Or how about Intentional Risk Exposure....any disease you get that can be traced to some behavior you did to put yourself at risk of exposure to that disease, your health insurance wont cover. Example: you decide to visit a hospital during flu season, catch the flu and get pneumonia. You took on that risk, so no coverage for that illness either.

See how simple it is to make up excuses NOT to cover your medical needs while taking your money. All you need are some corrupt congress people or executives to pass some laws or policy and you got yet another capitalist scam.

If you have a heart attack, it can be traced back to Medical Noncompliance. You didn’t strictly follow the cardiac diet and lose the weight as recommended, so it’s your own fault you had a heart attack, and insurance won’t cover it.
Medical Noncompliance can include a lot of conditions.

If this is a GOP plot against Democrats, it's going to backfire like every other thing they do. The best policy - really the ONLY good policy - is one that helps all Americans. I believe most people (including thoughtful Republican voters) can understand that and go along with it.

Just sayin'

And they are victims of capitalism's health care scams as much as everyone else is. They just don't seem to care that their politicians are perpetrating these scams on them. They must be getting something else from their politicians that they desperately want or they think it can't be changed or both.

They charged higher premiums for smokers and people with a BMI above 25.

I didn't agree with it, but a lot of people did.

The company actually gave me about 2500 per year for NOT using their insurance.

Their long term plans do not include those in less fortunate situations, either medical or financial. It’s money and power. Let the smokescreen fly.

Democratic House members are really Democrats ? I don't. I believe many of them are Republican Lites or actually Republicans with a "D" label..Now with that said, these new members could actually throw a wrench into the ACA gears and side with Republicans against it.

And No I don't believe that suggestion is far fetched.

But then so did some of the Dems under Obama and under other presidents. It's not far fetched. It's just that liberal Dems probably can pressure RepubliCON Dems easier than they could pressure regular mean spirited RepubliCONS or even worse Trump RepubliCONS. Dems are not noted for their unity of ideology. They don't follow in lock step like RepubliCONS do. So you get a variety on the liberal spectrum. Some even claiming they are old-timey RepubliCONS, before that party went racist and sexist crazy, German Nazi, neo-fascist.

Using bait and switch tactics claiming how they were for something, then the people are finding out they were really against it and lied all along. Trump and the gop are corrupt criminals where liars , criminals, and pedophiles , and racists are gladly welcomed now.
