Exclusive: Two key answers from Trump to Mueller

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump told special counsel Robert Mueller in writing that Roger Stone did not tell him about WikiLeaks, nor was he told about the 2016 Trump Tower meeting between his son, campaign officials and a Russian lawyer promising dirt on Hillary Clinton, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

One source described the President's answers without providing any direct quotes and said the President made clear he was answering to the best of his recollection.

This is the first insight into how the President responded to the Mueller team's written questions -- a key unknown as Mueller aims to wrap up his investigation and prepare his final report.

.These two points -- WikiLeaks and the Trump Tower meeting -- are critical to Mueller's central mission: investigating whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russians during the 2016 campaign.

The President's lawyers previously told CNN the answers would match his public statements. Still, these written answers could be subject to criminal charges if false.

1. They were all a gang that couldn't shoot straight amateurs. They still are.
2. Like most criminals they did not think they'd get caught
3. They didn't think they were going to win the election, so whatever they did wrong would not matter. If they did win they thought they were in charge and they did what they had to do to beat HRC, so it did not matter as well

But -- the poisonous decay of the nation's politics would have likely made it difficult for her to get anything done about it. The Republicans would not only have blocked her every attempt to redress the issue, but would certainly have manufactured further Benghazi-style bullcrap to attack her with. It's all they do anymore.

I don't like to think we had to go through this, it's so ugly and destructive and dangerous. But we've been going down a dark road for a long time. Even Obama, superman that he was and is, was virtually hamstrung by the growing fascist lunacy of the GOP.

Six people were in the meeting so any emails, voicemails or texts among them probably exist. There are probably Mueller team interviews too.

4. The advantage of a live interview is you can "refresh" someone's memory

by showing them an email or evidence from other witnesses . So using weasel words, Trump may avoid perjury. On the other hand, I think Mueller has already has all the evidence he needs, and just wanted Trump's testimony for completeness.

Stone, Corsi, Jr., et al don't tell trump anything. Sure, right.

Then they tell him to tell the Russians during a stump speech to hack the e-mails. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. He doesn't know why they told him to say that. Sure, right.

Remember, Mueller brought down mobsters, whose "coded" language didn't fool him. Tell that guy to do that thing to you know who. Or, I think that guy needs to receive an early Christmas present. Why don't you tell that other guy to be sure to pick out a nice present and deliver it tomorrow. Personally.

Sure, Mueller has no idea what they're talking about. As in, sure, Mueller is completely flummoxed by these con men. Oh, and BTW, the state of NY is investigating the crap out of the trump crime family - fraud, tax evasion, and more.
