Trump didn't know the GOP tax bill incentivizes business to offshore jobs

President Donald Trump was apparently unaware that a provision in his biggest legislative accomplishment encourages corporations to offshore jobs.

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) spoke with Trump Wednesday night about the closure of at least five General Motors plants, including one assembly plant in Lordstown, Ohio, and filled him in on how the GOP tax bill is partly to blame.

“I reached him last night, he said he wanted to help, I said the first thing you could do is you could take away that tax provision in his tax bill that gives a company a 50 percent off coupon on their taxes,” Brown told CNN’s New Day Thursday. “If you’re producing in Lordstown you pay a 21 percent tax rate, if you move to Mexico you pay a 10.5 percent tax rate, and I told the president to get rid of that tax break that encourages jobs to move overseas.”

The president apparently did not know that was in the tax bill.

Who in their right mind would give tax incentives to companies sending jobs out of the US? Only someone whose GREED knows no bounds. Well, Trump and his GOP minions OWN THIS MOTHERFUCKER.

This is why you hire competent advisors. This is why you listen to their advice and input. This is why you don't rely on your "gut" or your "very big brain."

Who told him this would make it much easier to get his ties and other products produced overseas.

And he's just using the "oh dear gosh....if I had only known!,...I guess its too late to change it now." excuse.

that's what I'd put my money on

He doesn't read what he signs. The Tax Bill has been a boon for everyone except the middleclass.

There were lots of articles then even the CBO warned them.

that Trump's tax scam Bill will be the downfall of the Republican party. Income inequality will be the culprit and Trump's tax scam is just going to drastically widen that gap. I heard someone say, so I'm not sure it is true, that 2/3 of our GDP comes from consumer spending. With Trump's tax scam money is flowing from the bottom up, fewer and fewer people are able to accumulate wealth, or simply put, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Wall Street should be booming.

Charge a special payroll tax of the offshore cost. Make it either 2:1 or 1:1. Remove the advantage companies get with cheaper labor. This would be big for IT and service industry jobs.

When asked about bills he has signed all he does is his 5th grader talk..."this bill is the greatest, Obama never did this, blah, blah..."

But then again, that may be a provision he asked to have because lets face it, the man-child did not become president to be president, he became president to make money for him, and maybe his family...well, and Ivanka.

The day he realizes his empire is globally fscked and he will live the life of a fundagelical pauper cannot get here fast enough.

The day the GOP realizes he's a liability and dumps him like an old broken-down appliance can't get here fast enough, if ever.
