CNN's Gloria Borger: Source close to Cohen says he has 'the goods'

Source: The Hill

CNN chief political analyst Gloria Borger on Thursday said a source close to Michael Cohen told her that Cohen has "the goods" on his former boss, President Trump.

"'Michael has the goods,'" Borger said on CNN, reading her source's quote. "'He has extremely valuable information.'"

...snip...

"And so this clearly goes beyond the Trump Tower Moscow ... although that is crucial and important," Borger said on CNN. "But if Michael Cohen is talking, and we know how close he was to Trump at certain points, how loyal he has been to Donald Trump, and we also know the things that were being asked in the grand jury."

"I think Michael Cohen, who was the man who said he would take a bullet for the president, has now become Brutus to the president," Borger said. "Because he has this need now to - his people say - tell the truth and come clean and is no longer in the business of protecting Donald Trump, which is what he did for all those years."

And by all accounts Reump was a complete prick to Cohen. Not that we should have any pity.
Hell Cohen resurrected Trump with money from his Russian friends. But Trump kept whipping him.

In the Mafia people get treated with respect, and that's why they remain loyal to the boss. Trump never understood that respect is an important thing, and he showed his contempt of Michael Cohen. Come to think of it, he treats most employees with contempt sooner or later.

that when they are no longer any use to him or that he wants to save himself he will throw them under the bus in a heartbeat. I'm sure that Cohen has kept lots of things about Trump and his dealings in order to protect himself and I'm certain that he will not give up everything all at once, but hold some in reserve. I hope that he has taken precautions to protect what he has on Trump just in case something should happen to himself.

IMO Conway would be one to document her dealings with trump, at the urgings of her husband or course but she's conniving enough herself to know to do it; Huckabee Sanders, no she's just an all-in, lying sycophant; Kelly, nah, just takes orders as his role has been greatly diminished by trump and is glad to be double-dipping (military pension and gov. salary), Mattis, maybe, seems smarter and more independent than fellow general Kelly; the czarina, "no, daddy wouldn't do that to me"; Kushner, you know that slimy weasel has the goods on both trump and bloody MBS; Bolton, that idiot/warmonger just got there and is too stupid, as witnessed by his nonsense remark on the Khashoggi audiotape as to not knowing Arabic; Sessions is gone but that little racist certainly did, his other lawyers, of course.

One other notable who is not popular here but certainly proved she knows how to take care of herself—Omarosa.

Who am I leaving out?

Isn't bird song just beautiful and amazing ?

As for Tweety, I was reminded of another song he sang, it began with this (which is really appropriate for Cohen right now) "I'm only a bird in a guilded cage . . . " Except I don't think his "cage" will be guilded. Oh, it will have bars, for sure.

Crossed paths with him on Park Ave. Just a haunted looking guy in jeans and a blazer wandering down the street by himself at 9:30 am or so. I thought to myself that was weird, here’s a guy who can take down the president of the United States and anyone could pop him. Then again, there is this thing called the rule of law here and if Donny Short Fingers took that step we’d really find out if he could get away with shooting someone in broad daylight.

Cohen is enraged against Trump and is acting exactly like John Dean did against Nixon.

barrel scrapings.

Cohen nor Manafort are going to outsmart them. As a matter of fact, it came out earlier this week that Manafort was trying to play Mueller but got played by the player when it was exposed that he was relaying "info" to trump through his lawyers. The same "info" that trump use in his take-home questions from the Mueller team. Thus both were exposed as liars.

Cohen at least has enough sense not to lie to Mueller.

And Mueller has protected himself as well by getting Manafort to admit to committing state crimes as well so state AGs will be able to pursue charges against him in case trump does try to pardon him.

TBH, I think he's really wanting to do the right thing... to show that he 'has' character instead of 'being' a character - like the orange anus he used to work for. I just hope he's got some maximum security. Mueller, too.
