'Very legal & very cool': Trump confesses to 'lightly' engaging in talks with Russia during campaign

“Oh, I get it! I am a very good developer, happily living my life, when I see our Country going in the wrong direction (to put it mildly),” Trump tweeted Friday morning, from Argentina.

The president claimed those Moscow dealings, which Cohen told the court continued up until a month before he won the Republican nomination, because he did not expect to win the election.

“Against all odds, I decide to run for President & continue to run my business – very legal & very cool, talked about it on the campaign trail,” he added. “Lightly looked at doing a building somewhere in Russia. Put up zero money, zero guarantees and didn’t do the project. Witch Hunt!”

Trump’s partner in the Moscow venture, Felix Sater, confirmed to Buzzfeed News that Trump’s company planned to give Russian President Vladimir Putin a $50 million penthouse in Trump Tower Moscow, if it had been built.

No banks, other than money laundering bank Deutshe Bank, will give him a loan, and he doesn't have any of his own money.

Honestly, he's getting closer and closer to just blurting it all out one day.

What he just said here contradicts pretty much everything else he's ever said in denying 'collusion'.

How many video clips do we have of him denying that he has any business interest in 'Russher'?

Fixed that for you tRump:

He sat and watched as his lawyer lied to congress about his business dealings with a hostile foreign power. Knowing the truth the whole time.

He has to admit to something. He has been caught in lies and he has to back peddle like crazy

We will see more of this as the truths come out

So there was a "little lie" and not a big one. ??? His lawyer is going to jail for those, "little lies"

Trump was doing "light business" in Russia and it was a "light lie".
...As the word on this gets out, Trump will gain additional footage as the stupidest fool in the world.. We now can see the depths to Trump can go to cover himself..But it is too late.

It may be entirely true that doing business with the Russians - or with Putin himself - is very legal and very cool.

But then, why did Trump lie about this while running for President (and also after being elected)?

The details keep coming out that, more than a hotel proposal, Trump was negotiating for illegal campaign assistance from the Russians and, having gotten elected with this illegal assistance, he is obligated to do the Russians' bidding (in a way that he does not feel obligated to the Americans who actually voted for him).

The latest demonstration of Trump's client-situation to the Russians is his refusal to take a strong stand against Russian aggression against Ukraine. Rather than confront Putin and argue about it, Trump cancels his meeting and hides in the closet. It cannot be fear of combat because Trump is now enthusiastically throwing thousands of American lives away in a no-win war in Afghanistan, the Graveyard of Empires. It can only be that Trump doesn't dare cross his real owners.

And, going back to it, Trump has continuously lied about his communications and negotiations - direct or through proxies - with Russians. He wouldn't feel the need to lie except his dealings involved something shameful and/or illegal.
