Scott Walker Signals He'll Sign Off On GOP's Power Grab Bills If They Pass

As Republican lawmakers in Wisconsin move forward Tuesday with plans to rush votes on bills to lock in their power during the lame duck session, outgoing Gov. Scott Walker is affirming he’s on board.

“For all the talk about reining in power, it really doesn’t,” Walker told reporters about Democrats’ complaints on Monday evening, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

The Republican governor signaled that he is willing to sign off on the wide-ranging package of bills before he leaves office Jan. 7.

Protests roiled the Capitol in Madison on Monday, as Wisconsin voters came out to express their opposition to the proposals. The Journal-Sentinel reported that after some 10 hours of testimony and debate, the Joint Finance Committee approved three bills that would transfer key powers from Democratic Gov.-elect Tony Evers and Democratic incoming Attorney General Josh Kaul to the GOP-controlled legislature.

Moves like this do nothing but hasten the death of their corrupt party. Now the people have almost two years to simmer over this. By the time the election rolls around, the reich wingers can kiss their ass good-bye.

Then why did you wait until the lame duck session? If it was such a good idea, why didn't they do it before?

1. Vote in ALL elections.

2. End lame duck sessions.

Ending lame duck sessions won't be easy but it looks to be necessary. Recall the lame duck president's term once lasted until March. Then they changed the inauguration to January. The corruption of the GOP is so great that we can't ever trust them in any lame duck session--state or national.

Too bad Trump doesn't tweet about this lame duck nonsense.

Then there's the issue of candidates hitting the ground running....Welcome to the marathon, newly elected Democrats!

Can't the new Dem Majority refuse to seat any Retrumplican House member from WI?

If they want to make a fucking mockery of rules and democracy, then I would say Dems NOT seat one fucking WI prick in the House.

Let them take it to the fucking Supreme Court, and while we're waiting for the court to decide, they can pound fucking sand.

they do this shit because they know that the Dems would never be so vile when Dems are in the majority.

It's way beyond the point where Dems need to show them that we can be ruthless too.

They continue to pull this "bully" shit because no one ever stands up to them.

tell that prick Walker that if he signs that shit, there's going to be a fucking fight to seat any of WI's House Members.

I'll tell you something else. I don't know how they can do it, BUT IF THERE IS ONE FUCKING HATE RADIO STATION LEFT IN CALIFORNIA, STATE DEMOCRATS OUGHT TO LOSE THEIR FUCKING SEATS
