Man says he urinated on Kellogg's cereal conveyor belt

Source: Associated Press

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A Tennessee man faces up to three years in prison for urinating on a Kellogg’s cereal conveyor belt at a Memphis facility.

News outlets report 49-year-old Gregory Stanton pleaded guilty last month to tampering with consumer products. He was indicted by a grand jury in September. Stanton worked for the plant in 2014 and posted a video online in 2016 of him urinating on the conveyor belt. The video led the company to alert law enforcement and launched an investigation that involved the Food & Drug Administration.

It’s unclear what prompted Stanton to urinate on the line or to film and share the act. WREG-TV reports the company and workers union were involved in a labor dispute at the time.

Stanton is set to be sentenced in February.

Camera Shows Man Urinating in Company Coffee Pot

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) _ The coffee just didn’t taste right so workers at Wire Rope of America set up a hidden camera to try to find out why. What they found was a co-worker using the coffee pot as a urinal.

″I just wanted to break his legs, shoot him or whatever,″ said Richard Poe, a plant electrician.

Instead, Poe and his fellow factory workers turned the videotape over to police and company officials. Police in turn gave the tape to Buchanan County prosecutors, who are considering bringing charges. The man’s identity hasn’t been released.

In the meantime, KQTV broadcast a copy of the tape Saturday.

I can’t imagine knowing that I had consumed any of that coffee ... prolly would have to give it up forever.

I remember working in a well know food canning plant decades ago, some nut put pennies on the jars contents before lids were applied. He eventually got caught, probably just fired as the laws weren't as stiff back then.
