Mueller's 'mystery' grand jury witness likely fighting having to testify -- and could face jail time:

Source: Raw Story/NY Times

Although reporters were blocked from getting anywhere near a secret grand jury hearing being held in Washington, D.C. at the request of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators, the New York Times has narrowed down what might be transpiring within the court room.

According to a new report, the NYT claims that it appears to be a battle over “whether a witness can be forced to answer investigators’ questions.” The report adds, “When witnesses refuse to cooperate, prosecutors often go to court to get a judge to send them to jail in order to pressure them to talk. Prosecutors are supposed to exhaust all other investigative avenues before doing this.”

The Times states that it is highly likely tied to President Donald Trump, although it is not a fight over whether Trump himself is the subject of the fight.

“Investigators have interviewed nearly all the White House and Justice Department officials who were directly involved in the episodes under scrutiny in the obstruction inquiry. But Mr. Mueller is still seeking to speak with several witnesses about ties between Mr. Trump’s campaign and Russia,” the report continues before suggesting it is questionable whether the public will ever know who it is — barring jail time or the person in question coming forward.

Ms. Hicks, although a right-wing men's play-toy, wouldn't have the intestinal fortitude to stand up to Mueller's investigation. I'm not sure she was privy to the underhanded bullshit that went on in the White House anyway. Just my opinion, though.

Remember, she was the White House Communications Director (which is pretty funny in itself!) when Trump was dictating the false cover story for the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting with the Russians. During the drafting of that lie by Trump aboard Air Force One, She made a statement that the emails between Junior and others would never get out. Due to that comment, one of the lawyers quit because he saw that as a threat of obstruction of justice.

They're all guilty al crimes to some degree. Hicks is as bad as the rest.

He knew before any of us that tRump was going to be president. Remember, he refused hearings on Merrick Garland saying "The NEXT president will fill the SC vacancy" He knew it would not be Hillary, even if she WON the election. The fix was in already.

If he was there for a multi-day conference, and/or the motorcade in question looked the same on Wed as it did on Friday, I'd guess that NASA is a plausible alternative explanation.

or Stone's buddy whose name I can't remember who have been refusing to testify. Probably Pence or maybe Ivanka. It's someone who would be "a story" if they were spotted at the court. Melania maybe? She must be aware of something.

She specializes in counterintelligence investigations and extradictions of foreigners to pursue criminal plots, especially involving middle eastern cases.

Kushner could be the high level person who is claiming executive privilege. His high status plus probable involvement in counterintelligence investigations and classified info would require this level of secrecy. Kushner has a history of lying and covering up his meetings with foreigners. His back channelling and shady connections with middle eastern players and Russians in pursuit of lifting sanctions and private financial deals have to be a focus for Mueller team. He used the same sham cover-up defense as Flynn in saying he was only pursuing better relations to achieve peace in middle east. He was interviewed by Mueller before regarding Flynn but chances are he was less than forthcoming.

Kushner would invoke his 5th amendment rights not to testify, and I doubt that Meuller would give him immunity which would be the only way to hold him in contempt.

But it could just as likely prove to be Roger Stone. Stone's been up in this kind of shit since the '80s and is one of tRump's running dogs, and he and Manafort (along with Corsi) go back at least that long.
