Michael Flynn sentencing postponed after dramatic hearing

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN)BREAKING: President Donald Trump's former national security adviser Michael Flynn will not be sentenced Tuesday.

Flynn said Tuesday in a federal court that "I was aware" that lying to the FBI is a crime.

Flynn pleaded guilty a year ago to lying to federal investigators and is being sentenced by Judge Emmet Sullivan of the US District Court for the District of Columbia, who has had very strong words for the defendant.

"I want to be frank with you, this crime is very serious," Sullivan said. "Not only did you lie to the FBI, you lied to senior officials in the incoming administration."

"All along, you were an unregistered agent of a foreign country while serving as the national security adviser to the President of the United States," Sullivan said. "That undermines everything this flag over here stands for. Arguably you sold your country out."

Sullivan later corrected himself, noting Flynn's foreign lobbying ended prior to the beginning of the Trump administration.

Of course it wont help Trump as Flynn cannot hide behind the 5th and will have to answer questions and it could be used against Trump.

Was this done now to mess with trump more than anything , or just a independent judge ? Was it because of the way Flynn's been complaining about his situation by trying to blame the FBI?

Their client is getting off the hook easy, and now they want to bash the FBI??? Are you kidding me?

I keep saying it, if this was a Hollywood script, not one studio would buy it, they would treat it as fantasy, anything on the script would be categorized as impossible things to happen in a USA administration. "It Can't Happen Here!"

in his sentencing plea. Then, Trump would reference it in the pardon -- see, the FBI mistreated Gen. Flynn. The FBI is crooked and biased against me. Trump, Inc. never stops gaming the system.

The judge gave Flynn a demonstration of how hardass he can be if he wants, or how reasonable he can be if Flynn is willing to be cooperative.

He did that because he had informed them that he had not taken a prison sentence out of the range of possible punishments, despite the prosecutors' stance.

The treason remark was a throwaway zinger: my guess is that he felt disgusted with Flynn and his sniveling attempt to say that he only lied because no one told him that he shouldn't.

that may relate to Flynn testifing in another upcoming case. Like the one coming out about TURKEY.

Actually, I have seen mentioned several times that Flynn was a 'double agent'.
But that too was an opinion as we all try putting the pieces together.
It is exhausting, but it's also fascinating.

I just want to see Trump, his gruesome kids, and every person of rank & power who played a role, sent to prison one day.

Flynn now will have to empty the bag entirely. I can only imagine how Fox News will react.

BTW, Reagan first appointed Judge Sullivan to the DC (local) bench, then GWHB also appointed him to higher position. Clinton elevated him to the Federal bench. That will make it hard to paint Judge Sullivan as a Democratic tool--but the right will try.

said something that made me think. He said that Flynn must have given Mueller a lot of info but something else is going on that doesn't make sense. The fake pres has been saying what a good man Flynn is, just the opposite of Cohen. WHY? He suggested that Flynn knew that Mueller was onto him but still lied to cover for tRump. He also suggested he still is covering for tRump (he hasn't been called a rat). Something is going on.

People are admitting on the cable shows that they are mystified about this and agree that this is a big and serious question that we don't know the answer to and won't until Mueller lets us know. It must involve $$$, Russia and tRump on a whole different level of crimes. This will be a "Holy shit!" moment for even the most experienced and knowledgeable political pundits when it comes out.

The Traitor Flynn was in no way performing a sanctioned "deep op."

To affect and impact our presidential sanctioned process, is a non-possibity.

So we're left with the main unknown of why. This we must learn, eh mate ?
