(1,533 posts)The GOP House put out a CR with funding for little donnie's toy wall as its last gasp. The Senate did not pass that bill. So at present, there is nothing for Oragneanus to sign or not sign.
Assuming nothing is done next Thursday through the weekend, the new House will start on the third.
One thing that isn't helping is saying that Trump has to "cave". He is such a petulant little boy. If he had a way out that didn't involve "caving" he would jump at it. He doesn't care about a real wall, he just wants people to fear and hate migrants to distract them from the fact his policies are bending them over the desk...

(73 posts)get the run-of-the-mill bureaucrats paid during the shutdown, I'd be OK with the whole thing running indefinitely. Whatever it takes from completely sealing off the border with a wall or other means. We need the border to remain "leaky" now and going forward. So, dont cave, Chuck and Nancy!
Surely, both sides could come to an agreement to keep paying the normal govt workerr. Back-paying when it's all over doeant put food on the table today.
