On Christmas morning, President Donald Trump held a press conference at the White House. The President has said that he will forgo his usual holiday trip to Florida until the government shutdown is resolved.

At the press conference, President Trump claimed that the thousands of federal workers who are currently without pay also want a wall and are willing to go without compensation until funding for the wall is secured.

“Many of those workers have said to me, communicated, stay out until you get the funding for the wall,” he said.

“These federal workers want the wall.”
