Turkey's Erdogan eyes Putin meeting to discuss US Syria withdrawal

Source: The Hill

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he will probably meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the U.S. withdrawal from Syria, Reuters reported Tuesday.

Erdogan did not provide a timing for the meeting, and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the news service that Putin does not have immediate plans to meet with the Turkish leader.

Trump's announcement came days after a phone call with Erdogan, who had been threatening to launch an attack against Syria's U.S.-backed Kurdish forces, which Turkey considers terrorists.

While Trump first claimed victory against ISIS in announcing the troop withdrawal, he said on Sunday that Erdogan has promised to "eradicate" the terrorist group after U.S. troops leave.

Did Donald discuss the pullout with anyone other than Erdogan and Putin?

Certainly not his own main representative McGurk nor the Pentagon.

Or even his cabinet/national security teams?

Go in and murder the Kurds with trump's blessings now after they helped go after ISIS, and Erdogan and Putin have to be smiling after trump's Christmas gift to them now. Without the kurds help we wouldn't have beat back ISIS like was done , yet trumps running away and allowing them to be slaughtered by Turkey and Russia now from doing this. trump's helping ISIS again for putin and Turkey. They weren't defeated like trump says, and he knowingly lied saying they were. This will also backfire on trump as one of the worst political and military blunders in our history. trump was also very critical of others announcing plans , yet he did the same thing here again. This should also serve as a good reminder to any country dealing with trump , he can never be trusted for anything, and will screw over anyone , anytime , which was why he couldn't get US banks to loan him money. He couldn't keep his word on anything. Putin and Erdogan have him compromised , and we're seeing the results of that now, again with this change. Republicans doing nothing will only get more voted out of office in Nov. 2020.
