President Donald Trump escalated his complaints about the myriad of investigations he is facing on Thursday morning, tweeting that there was "no reason" for the House Intelligence Committee to open a new, sweeping probe into whether his decision making as president is motivated by financial gain.

Trump earlier Wednesday complained that House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff had "no basis to" expand his committee's Russia investigation, calling the California Democrat a "political hack."

“It’s just presidential harassment and it’s unfortunate and it really does hurt our country,” Trump told reporters of the new probe.

On Wednesday, Schiff announced that his committee would examine connections between the Trump campaign and Russia to determine whether any presidential decision making is influenced by financial gain.

Granted Obama had no dust because he's awesome like that, but the constant scrutiny was incredible. And despite knowing this, Obama always had the good graces to save a chair for the Republicans on every issue even when he knew they'd bite him. It drove me insane! I always wanted Obama to go off on them for their disrespectful and rude behavior, and he didn't. Obama is a better man than I, because I would have lost my cool in the first year with those assholes.

He would understand we have the right in OUR government to have oversite of it with OUR elected representatives when needed. That includes him and anyone else who is suspected of criminal activities, or abuses , or using their position to promote illegal activities. With this administration the evidence with indictments and the exposing of many others possibly it is there sworn duty to look into it all if needed. He also can't read that many other administrations have been investigated at much greater levels, so his whining about harassment is just another laughable excuse from this incompetent President. It just make him look guilty now even more. He will be held accountable too if crimes are found he took part in.

Trump must have lived on a different planet for decades.
Or been tone deaf to the flavours of politics that went on in the USA in the past 50 years.

He seriously thought that when he became President, he could control and switch off the criticism and abuse thrown at past Presidents. Abuse, mind you, he didn't mind throwing around himself in huge bucket loads.
And possibly, he thought that there was power in the POTUS position that would make all his past crimes as a businessman ok and hidden, and he could carry on the processes.

Throwing criticism at the current POTUS in any decade is an American tradition, and it just gets ramped up if there are good reasons for it.

Trump isn't a President. He is more the Mafia boss who says 'look at all the stuff I can get you cheap. Just don't ask where it came from.'
