Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota joins Democratic race for 2020

Source: Washington Post

Klobuchar, who easily won reelection to the Senate in November, announced she is joining the 2020 presidential race. She has emphasized her Midwest roots and ability to connect with people who voted for President Trump in 2016.

Three other female senators and one male senator — Elizabeth Warren (Mass.), Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.), Kamala D. Harris (Calif.) and Cory Booker (N.J.) — have joined the race, and others are considering it.

This is a developing story. It will be updated.

form my full opinion. I am glad we have a lot of good candidates to choose from, she's on my list of those for whom I would consider voting. I was hoping she would run.

So many awesome candidates. Imagine the next cabinet with all these amazing people in charge.
There will be a place for them all. I finally see light out of this darkness.

to make a presidency worthwhile or else McConnell will not give us our rightful appointments like SCOTUS picks.
The only Senators in the Cabinet can come from Blue States with Blue Governors or states with laws mandating the replacement be of the same party.

For great leadership.

Unassuming. Effective. Well thought of. Leads by example. And (so far) no distractions.

To me, there's just something unlikeable about her. Cloying, I guess, is the word that sums her up best.

Doesn't support either M4A or the GND.

"No distractions", given what's been revealed about her staff, is laughable.

Hard pass. Bottom of my list.

I'm not certain that she is where the Dem primary voter is at this year. It seems to me the Dem primary voter this year is in a more progressive, combative mode.
