Democratic attorneys general threaten legal action over border

Source: CBS News/The AP

UPDATED ON: FEBRUARY 15, 2019 / 8:14 AM / AP

WASHINGTON—Some Democratic state attorneys general say they may go to court to block any declaration of a national emergency on the southern border by President Trump.

Attorney General Xavier Becerra of California wrote Thursday on Twitter that any border crisis is of the president's own making and "we will do what we must to hold him accountable."

His counterpart in Washington state, Bob Ferguson, said that if Mr. Trump's declaration depletes federal aid to the state, he'll "take appropriate steps to block this unlawful action."

On Twitter, Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rossello told the president "we'll see you in court" if he goes through with the declaration.

one of the areas that Trump wants to take the funds is from minority leader Kevin McCarthy's district. Just a crazy thought since the M$M is not our friend, but how about a reporter asking McCarthy how he feels about Trump taking money from his district to build a border wall?

But can't say I'm surprised. Trump has been involved in thousands of lawsuits. He seems to love them.

I've read estimates of his prior litigation count from 1,500 to over 3,000. Not all BY him. But he doesn't hesitate to go to Court. I supposed it's a business write-off.

and then they try to get what is due to them but tRump refuses to pay, makes up some stupid reason not to pay and says "See you in court". The people he hired can't afford to go to court to get their payment so tRump wins...free labor and no court costs. He is a cheap bully.
