Roger Stone posted a picture on his Instagram Monday of U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson, the federal judge presiding over his case, with crosshairs in the corner.

In the post, he accuses "Deep State hitman Robert Mueller" of ensuring that his case landed in her hands, since she's an "Obama appointee" - the implication being that she's out to get him. He ends his post with his classic digital panhandling for his legal defense fund.


The post comes just days after Jackson instituted a partial gag order against Stone and advised him not to make comments that would endanger his own case.

"Finally, while it is not up to the Court to advise the defendant as to whether a succession of public statements would be in his best interest at this time, it notes that one factor that will be considered in the evaluation of any future request for relief based on pretrial publicity will be the extent to which the publicity was engendered by the defendant himself," she said in the order.

If I was Roger Stone, I'd be pretty p*ssed myself that I had to stare down the end of a few barrels when they did that over-the-top theatrical raid on his home. as a background for people it hates/alleges are corrupt/part of the
"deep state." The text is corruption central, and the "crosshairs" are the icon to the left of the text (repeated across the entire background, with one instance (to the upper left of the head in each case) black, rather than gray.

I don't know that it's a crosshair (especially since it isn't targeting the judge), but it is definitely from a site Stone would be trolling.

Trump confidante Roger Stone on Monday defended his decision to post an ominous photo of U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who is overseeing his prosecution in special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.

In a post on Instagram, Stone shared a photo of Jackson. Pictured beside her head was what appeared to be a crosshairs symbol.

Stone eventually took down the post, and told the New York Daily News that he had not seen the crosshairs symbol beside Jackson’s head.

He later told CBS News reporter Kathryn Watson that the photo was not intended to threaten the judge, and that he did not violate a gag order in the case.
