Trump rips Harry Reid for 'failed career' after ex-Dem leader slams him in interview

Source: The Hill

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 02/25/19 08:21 AM EST

President Trump on Monday slammed former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) for trying to "put a good spin on his failed career" after Reid gave an interview in which he heavily criticized the president.

Reid opted not to seek reelection in 2016 after 30 years in the Senate. Reid, 79, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year. He told CNN he is in remission thanks to early detection and intense chemotherapy.

In an interview published Monday morning, Reid was asked whether he has anything positive to say about Trump.

"I just have trouble accepting him as a person, so, frankly, I don't see anything he's doing right," Reid said.

promoting himself by lying about and debasing others. This is the M.O. of a petty, insecure, and emotionally warped man, not of someone worthy of the White House. And this utterly dishonest and gratuitously demeaning comment about Harry Reid is particularly despicable.
