Subpoenas for sex abuse records were being served Tuesday on Catholic parishes and schools across Nebraska.
The Nebraska Attorney General's office said more than 400 Catholic churches and other institutions had been issued subpoenas. The requests are for all records or information related to any child sexual assault that had occurred by those employed by the church or institution, whether or not it was previously reported.
Attorney General Doug Peterson last year had asked Nebraskas three Roman Catholic bishops to voluntarily give him their records of sex abuse from the past 40 years.
The bishops of Omaha, Lincoln and Grand Island had sent Peterson files. In Omaha, Archbishop George Lucas made many of those records public.

First Pennsylvania. Then NY. Now Nebraska. Seems pretty wide reaching including other countries.
I'm beginning to wonder if the human sex trafficking, abductions of young girls and boys and some supposed runaways are not really the venue of organized crime - but maybe of another, even larger organization?
