Florida man in werewolf mask allegedly burned, shocked 2-year-old girl
Sheriff's officials said he recorded the abuse on his cellphone and on home surveillance video.

A man from Florida's Gulf Coast has been arrested for allegedly putting on a werewolf mask and repeatedly abusing the 2-year-old daughter of his girlfriend.

"We’re comforted to some degree by the thought that this precious child will not be harmed tonight," Chief Deputy Chip Simmons of the Escambia County Sheriff's Office told reporters.

The suspect, Andrew Bennett Ross-Celaius, 37, previously stood trial for the 2006 murder of another 2-year-old, but a jury found him not guilty, NBC News affiliate WPMI in nearby Mobile, Alabama reported.

Ross-Celaius was arrested on suspicion of aggravated child abuse, child abuse and possession of a controlled substance, authorities said.

4. What never ceases to amaze me are the

women who take up with these monsters.

I divorced my first husband, the love of my life, when our daughter was two years old. He came back from Vietnam with a short temper, etc and I didn’t want her to grow up in that environment. Even so, we remained friends until his death last year. My daughter still mourns him.

I blame the mother who exposed her precious daughter to this monster. She should bear some responsibility for this as well.

had a friend who was so concerned about exposing her sons to any such problems that she decided to not even date until the youngest was 18. She held to her word. I really respected her for making that decision.

I hope they are able to lock him up for many years. The horror. And the mother of that child needs to looked at by Child Services. Any woman who would leave her 2 year old child with this nightmare needs to be seriously looked at as to whether she is capable of raising a child safely.

And I don't know why, or why a mother would be with someone who could - even with the most remote of chances - be with this person. Especially one who had been suspected of murdering another 2-year-old years before!!
