Reacting to news that special counsel Robert Mueller has made “tentative” plans to appear before a House Committee, President Donald Trump went on a furious Twitter rampage demanding Mueller not show up.

On Twitter, Trump ranted, “After spending more than $35,000,000 over a two year period, interviewing 500 people, using 18 Trump Hating Angry Democrats & 49 FBI Agents – all culminating in a more than 400 page Report showing NO COLLUSION – why would the Democrats in Congress now need Robert Mueller” before adding, …”to testify. Are they looking for a redo because they hated seeing the strong NO COLLUSION conclusion? There was no crime, except on the other side (incredibly not covered in the Report), and NO OBSTRUCTION. Bob Mueller should not testify. No redos for the Dems!”

One of the framing issues about the entire Trump-Russia scandal is the use or misuse of the word "collusion" - which is not a defined offense in the US Code, the US Constitution, or anything else; hence, the legalistic approach of using conspiracy, solicitation, etc.

But setting aside treason, which is defined both legally and understood easily, strikes me there are two other words that sum up what it appears the Trump-Russia scandal is all about.

"Appeasement" and "collaboration"...

And we know what happened to collaborators...

15. Trump knows Mueller REPORT, not Barr summary

gets a pubic airing if Mueller testifies. Mueller will be asked how he felt Barr misrepresented the report. Trump banks on the fact that most of us can’t and won’t read Mueller’s report, not even his prepared summaries.
Trump depends on that window Barr used when the report was fresh to set the public’s impression of it. Now the window could be re-opened.
Trump’s tweets misrepresent. He is well aware that investigation issues will not be re-litigated. But Mueller will counter Barr’s PR piece if he’s honest about why he disagreed with Barr’s sum up.
And Dems will get it out of him, the specifics.
I look forward to seeing how the vicious ones who usually use innuendo and character assassination to so-called question witnesses are going to deal with Mueller just the facts m’am.

We have seen what Barr is willing to allow us to see. That is like putting a witness on the stand and asking friendly questions. Now it is time to cross-examine and that means Mueller speaking before the House Judiciary Committee. Fair is fair.
