The president even instructed top officials on his campaign to retaliate against his former deputy campaign manager. But as of Tuesday, nothing had come.

On Monday morning, Donald Trump was incensed over a report that one of his highest-profile supporters, David Bossie, had been engaged in apparent financial self-dealing under the guise of re-electing the president. And as he stewed, Trump began telling those close to him that Bossies alleged scheme was brazen and egregious enough to warrant a swift, public response.
By Monday night, the presidents reelection campaign had gone through multiple drafts of what several sources described as a harsh statement condemning Bossies conduct and the group he led. That evening, there was a widespread belief throughout the upper echelons of Trumpworld that the release of such a rebuke was imminent. But by Tuesday morning, nothing had materialized.
The statement thrashing Bossiea former senior Trump campaign aide and a current top outside adviser to the presidentremained in the can. And sources familiar with the situation say that the campaigns strategy of punishing Bossie had shifted.
Why the shift took place is not entirely clear. But it reflects how often the political whims can and will shift within the presidents orbit as his advisers try to accommodate his moods without creating too much unnecessary, unforced drama.

The Trump campaign has issued a blistering statement on dishonest pro-Trump fundraising groups following a report on former deputy campaign manager David Bossies group spending very little of the money theyve raised on political activities.
To briefly recap: the Presidential Coalition raised millions but a report from Axios and the Campaign Legal Center found that most of the money went to more fundraising and administrative costs like Bossies salary. Bossie called the report fake news, older Trump supporters who gave money to the group told Axios they felt ripped off, and POTUS was reportedly furious that his name was being used to raise money and scam supporters.
That last detail was revealed in a Daily Beast report today that said President Donald Trump demanded a public rebuke of Bossie.
Now it appears the rebuke has arrived. Bossie and the Presidential Coalition are not directly named, but its an unmistakable condemnation:.........................
