Trump's approval rating hits highest point in two years
Source: The Hill
President Trumps job approval rating is the highest its been in two years, boosted by voter optimism about the economy, according to the latest Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey.
The survey found that 48 percent approve of the job Trump is doing, compared to 52 percent who said they disapprove. Thats up from 45 percent approval in March. The last time the presidents job approval rating reached 48 percent in the Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey was in June of 2017.
Trump appears to be getting a lift from the economy, with a record 62 percent approving of his approach to employment and 59 percent approving of his handling of the economy.
While only 39 percent of voters said the country is on the right track, 51 percent said the economy is heading in the right direction. Seventy-one percent of voters said the economy is very strong or somewhat strong

Both stock-market and Housing prices are now inflated beyond growth rate in people's earnings.
That is the result of artificially low interest rates Donny is pushing the FED into complying.
You can inflate a balloon only so much before it explodes.

(4,742 posts)Just look at the aggregate of many polls...
realclearpolitics.com and 538.com both aggregate many polls to show a more true picture. Trump is still at about 42% approval and 54% disapproval. Nothing recently has changed that number.

Run for the hills.
That seems to be summing up the investor mood Friday after President Donald Trump shocked markets with a tweet promising tariffs on all Mexican imports until the illegal migrant situation is sorted. The likelihood of one more trade battlefield opening up means pretty much any asset associated with risk, notably equities, is taking a hit.

(9,088 posts)Probably believe Trump is better at handling the economy than Obama. Why aren't Democrats yelling as loud as Trump the the trade war, the tax cuts for the rich, and control over borrowing are all a failure? Trump will win next year if we do nothing to educate voters.
