Autopsy finds broken bones in Jeffrey Epstein's neck, deepening questions around his death

Source: Washington Post

By Carol D. Leonnig and
Aaron C. Davis August 14 at 11:20 PM

An autopsy found that financier Jeffrey Epstein sustained multiple breaks in his neck bones, according to two people familiar with the findings, deepening the mystery about the circumstances around his death.

Among the bones broken in Epstein’s neck was the hyoid bone, which in men is near the Adam’s apple. Such breaks can occur in those who hang themselves, particularly if they are older, according to forensics experts and studies on the subject. But they are more common in victims of homicide by strangulation, the experts said.

. . .

Attorney General William P. Barr, whose department oversees the Bureau of Prisons facility where Epstein died, has described his death as an “apparent suicide.” Justice officials declined to comment on the new information from Epstein’s autopsy.

. . .

Jonathan L. Arden, president of the National Association of Medical Examiners, said a hyoid can be broken in many circumstances, but is more commonly associated with homicidal strangulation than suicidal hanging.

Aug 2019

August 14, 2019 at 11:42 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard

“An autopsy found that financier Jeffrey Epstein sustained multiple breaks in his neck bones, according to two people familiar with the findings, deepening the mystery about the circumstances around his death,” the Washington Post reports.

“Among the bones broken in Epstein’s neck was the hyoid bone, which in men is near the Adam’s apple. Such breaks can occur in those who hang themselves, particularly if they are older… But they are more common in victims of homicide by strangulation.”

“The details add to the bizarre circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death, which have launched a wave of questions and conspiracy theories about how he could have died in federal custody. Even President Trump has egged on speculation, without evidence, that Epstein — whose alleged victims say they were pushed to have sex with his powerful and celebrity friends — might have been killed to keep him from spilling the secrets of others.”

Taken by same photographer, right in the same moments. Here, his mouth is closed, which seems odd. The NY Post photographer took both.

The pic shows the EMTs are giving it “the old college try.”

Perhaps the intubation is through the nose, so the mouth closed shut may not be a tell.

What a story that photographer William Farrington has to tell...

That won't be enough for those in the "I saw a movie, so it had to have been The Clenis/The Queen/Aliens/Barr/trump" crowd. They'll see "but they are more common in victims of homicide by strangulation" and have a field day. Trump will re-tweet all the conspiracy theories and it will be back to reading The Asylum Daily.

takes a fair amount of violence.

How does someone in a supposed self-harm proof cell do that? (Without some help)

Little experiment: Lock someone up in that cell, preferably same age and build as Epstein, and dressed the same.
Then ask them how they would top themselves. (And no cheating by inviting others to come in the cell.)

From the little I have read such breaks happen when the person who is being hung or hangs themselves
have been "dropped" for some distance. Epstein did not fall.

My only question is did Putin's boys do the hit or was this the work of blackwater?

Should be done , and any interference from Barr, trump or anyone including destruction of evidence, lying or legal actions to prevent them from looking into all involved should be signs this was murder. Especially Barr using his position to hide any video's and documents. This looks like Putin's Russia now where the most corrupt and wealthy rule, and they have no rule of laws for them.

Good suicidal timing, Epstein. To know exactly when they wouldn't be coming to check on you.

Where is his body? Has it been released yet? Has it been confirmed by DNA that the body is actually Epstein's?

Not one but two guards fell asleep?

So here's how it went:

1) Guards are given coffee which is spike with something to put them out.
2) Video is looped so no one is seen moving in or out
3) Epstein is strangled and his suicide staged
4) Epstein was told what was going to happen and did not struggle
5) Order for this was given by someone very high up on the food chain.
6) Order came from one of Epstein's clients who is still active in public office.

Strangled with a lot of force (to break multiple neck bones) then staged as suicide. The time of suicide he supposedly committed-kneeling with a bed sheet used as a noose-I doubt that would break multiple neck bones.
