Multiple Victims Stabbed at Tallahassee Industrial Park: Police

Source: The Daily Beast

A suspect is in custody after “multiple victims” were injured Wednesday morning in a stabbing incident at a Tallahassee industrial park, police told The Daily Beast.

The Tallahassee Police Department responded to reports of a stabbing at Dyke Industries, a wholesale building material supplier, around 8:37 a.m. Upon entering the building, officers “discovered multiple stabbing victims and provided immediate medical attention” before apprehending the suspect, police said.
It was not immediately clear whether the individual is an employee. Dyke Industries employees told ABC Tallahassee that the suspect is a former worker who had recently been fired. Another employee told the news station he fought the suspect off during the stabbing incident.
Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare has “received five people from the incident, not six as initially reported,” a spokesperson told The Daily Beast.

“One patient is in serious condition; two patients are in fair condition; and two patients are in good condition,” the spokesperson said.

Marquitta Campbell told The Tallahassee Democrat her husband had arrived for a job interview at Dyke Industries Inc. and was on the phone with him when she heard a commotion. “The next thing I know, he said, ‘Baby, I’ve been stabbed five times,’” Campbell told the newspaper. “‘I’ve been stabbed.’”

rifle could mow down 20 or so--at least.

That's why we want assault rifles off the street.

As awful as it sounds, I learned in a self-defense class that you can actually grab the blade of a knife to keep it from hitting vital body parts. Going to do some damage to your hand, but you will stay alive.

to stop him.

Interim Chief Steve Outlaw says that after Brown attacked, employees performed some "heroic actions," and held Brown at bay by grabbing anything they could find in the office. When Brown ran away from the scene, arriving officers quickly apprehended him about a block away from Dyke Industries, just 10 to 15 minutes after the first stabbing.

That would not have been possible if they were up against an assault rifle.

It's the first person to think about the people who suffered instead of their own political views' importance and how to use the injuries to advance their cause.

One in 4, not bad.

I started off with sympathy, before turning to extreme irritation at something I recognized. "Ellen's baby died. That'll teach them to get three months before the birth." "Of course John got fired, that's what comes from having a drinking problem." "George has never been all that good a person, so it serves him right that his daughter got knocked up by a pregnant woman when she was away from home for 2 months--and now he's stuck with raising the bastard."

Through the looking glass, but neither side is silvered.
