Source: Washington Post
LONDON Prime Minister Boris Johnson was trying mightily Monday to showcase his shiny new agenda for the people, but his Conservative Partys annual conference has been overshadowed by accusations about how he treats women.
The latest is a claim by a Sunday Times columnist that Johnson groped her thigh high up at a magazine lunch in 1999. Untrue, says 10 Downing Street.
Hes also accused of abusing his position as mayor of London to grant favorable treatment to a friend, U.S. businesswoman Jennifer Arcuri. Johnson claims to have no interest to declare in Arcuris firm. He has additionally prompted outrage among female lawmakers for seeming to dismiss their suggestion that his rhetoric accusing his opponents of surrender encourages threats against them.

(10,303 posts)Is it right as to what he allegedly did? Not really. However the present UK Prime Minister (and hopefully the shortest serving PM) has enough going to ensure his downfall. The problem is that these are not normal times and in normal times he would have been gone by now. Bollocks to Brexit btw....

(128,850 posts)But I am speaking in terms of his father's wealth vs Johnson's parents' wealth (the former was considered financially "upper class" vs the latter being financially "upper middle class" ).
