Trump campaign launching black outreach effort for 2020

Source: ABC News

During the 2016 campaign, candidate Donald Trump stood in front of largely white crowds and asked black voters to consider, "What the hell do you have to lose?"

Four years later, the president has a new message for black voters: Look what I've delivered.

Trump and his campaign on Friday will be launching a new "Black Voices for Trump" outreach initiative in Atlanta on Friday dedicated to "recruiting and activating Black Americans in support of President Trump," according to the campaign. Much of that effort will focus on highlighting ways that African Americans have benefited from the Trump economy, according to advisers.

"Imagine the kind of results with four more years of winning," said senior campaign adviser Katrina Pierson.

A quote that stuck in my head from later in the article - "He delivered on promises he didn't even make."

After three years of voter suppression, minimum-wage jobs, police violence, and racial discrimination now they want to redefine all that as “winning”.

OMG I can't breathe; my sides hurt from laughing so hard, and tears are coming out. Seriously? "Black outreach?" That's one hell of a reach for those teeny tiny hands.

Snopes says it was conservative groups supporting Trump, not the official Trump campaign who did this.

At a rally in June 2016, Donald Trump sought to demonstrate his support among African Americans in a uniquely Trumpian way—
by pointing to a black man in the crowd and telling the largely white crowd assembled,
“Look at my African American over here. Look at him ...”

This will be a one-way reach because I don't think anybody will be reaching back. tRump has a fortune to spend on this election. What I most hope is that this is money completely wasted that drains the RNC of every cent. I hope they blow it all on this election and end up with nothing.

I cannot imagine his little hands reaching out to me. (ick) A few extra dollars in my paycheck cannot buy my self respect. The pardoning of one or two black people because
Kim Kardashian requested does not thaw the ice either. However, there will always be some people who simply do not process what is right in front of them with any clarity.

and they've been able to buy second homes in the Hamptons.

Fat Donnie cannot name a single program he has supported to increase the well-being of the average black citizen. No scholarships, tech training, public health, strengthen SNAP and Medicaid. No gun control or working to keep policemen for exercising LWB (living while black) killings. No laws to constrain white nationalists.

His only argument is, "A rising tide lifts all boats. Don't count on me to help you get one."
