8. Not a surprise, and yet now I wonder

Surely he lied on his tax returns.
Surely the IRS noticed that.

Could it be that simple? That if the returns are released we'll find out that he's had to pay back taxes--and hasn't done it--and is headed to the Al Capone future that we're all expecting?

To do his bidding. But I'm not sure about Gorsuch or especially Roberts. I think Roberts really cares about what happens to SCOTUS on his watch and doubt that he supports a fully dominant Executive branch.

laws on the books that state that tax returns can be requested from a president. Thus, both should not even rule on and reaffirm the lower courts' findings (that tax returns must be presented/given to the committee and the state of NY.
