But, by God, we shot down another evil trade pact. And feel so proud!

On 23 January 2017, US President Donald Trump signed a presidential memorandum to withdraw the United States' signature from the agreement, making its ratification as it was in February 2016 virtually impossible.

McConnell affirmed that the TPP would not be considered during the lame-duck session of Congress preceding the inauguration of Trump.

So, let's point the finger of blame at those who are truly responsible...because I don't believe that any of the nay sayers on DU actually have that much influence with Trump or Moscow Mitch...

and he is doing.

This Trump mistake is big enough to cause him to have a major panic attack. Moscow Mitch silently watches, and Trump wonders if he has gone too far. If Moscow m. green lights this, then he moves on to the next major mistake.

There are very few things I can think of that could be that bad.

The reduction of a military zone by a country follows the reduction of its economic influence as well....this just happened in Syria, now in South Korea....hopefully not in Ukraine. The loss of hegemony is not altogether bad...(Greece, Portugal, Turkey, UK, are all still around as a country in some form following their limelight as the reigning Empire).

What is so sad is that the spirit of what the US was created ...peace, freedom is being torn apart by a con man.

South Korea has been an important trading partner, but with closer ties to China and anger over their treatment by the US, they are also likely to buy more from China and less from the US. It’s not good news for our future economic prospects. Here’s the value in 2018:

“U.S. goods and services trade with Korea totaled an estimated $167.6 billion in 2018. Exports were $80.9 billion; imports were $86.7 billion. The U.S. goods and services trade deficit with Korea was $5.8 billion in 2018.”

We really cannot afford another 13 months of Trump. He is doing his best to ruin the US.
