(6,831 posts)People who are infected do not have the legal right to purposely infect others. What shocks me is that this person works in health care. Either they are stupid or incredibly self-absorbed.

(10,157 posts)So decided it was overblown. Not realizing or caring that many are asymptomatic, and some only have mild symptoms. But many get real sick and some die. Selfish. Works at a medical center so especially stupid. Yeah probably a Magat.

(14,489 posts)From the article:
Health officials in New Hampshire are asking anyone who attended the gathering to self-quarantine for 14 days.
and...
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says states have "police power functions to protect the health, safety, and welfare of persons within their borders." That includes the enforcement of laws to enforce isolation (when a person is sick) or quarantine (when a person isn't sick but has been exposed to a pathogen).
The CDC says most states regard breaking a quarantine order as a criminal misdemeanor.
I believe what this is saying is that a formal, written order must be given for it to be enforceable.

(23,218 posts)We have an enormous amount of idiots like this in the country.
I've followed this situation since it first started making news in China and some video got out. Some people were spitting on handrails, on piles of masks, etc.
You're going to have lunatics that put other people's lives at risk.
