WASHINGTON (AP) The latest on the Democratic presidential primary and Super Tuesday (all times local):
10:30 p.m.
Bernie Sanders has won Utahs Democratic presidential primary. The state has 29 delegates at stake.
Sanders has a deep well of popularity with the states left-leaning voters.
The Democratic primary is open in Utah, so voters can cast a ballot regardless of party affiliation. Some in the Republican majority have not fully embraced President Donald Trump and moderates saw an opportunity to woo middle-of-the-road voters with a pitch that they offer the best chance to unseat the president.

(18,623 posts)In an open primary like this, republicans can vote for the democrat they want Trump to run against? Or they can cast a meaningless vote for the incumbent.
I guess Bernie wins if he can get them to do that again in November.

(13,868 posts)Several days ago a lot of people here thought there was going to be big disruption in SC primary. Trump, Rush and the SC GOP all talked about Repubs voting for Bernie. It didnt happen.
Biden carries all 46 counties, the closest win he had was by 6%.
