The Latest: Sanders wins Democratic primary in California

Source: AP

WASHINGTON (AP) — The latest on the Democratic presidential primary and Super Tuesday (all times local):

11 p.m.

Bernie Sanders has won California’s Democratic presidential primary. The state has 415 delegates at stake, the biggest haul on the electoral map.

Sanders’ campaign has long seen the nation’s most populous state as a critical early contest and has had droves of volunteers organizing events across the state. Sanders lost the 2016 Democratic presidential primary to Hillary Clinton and was hoping for a comeback that would be a capstone moment for the state’s progressive wing.

They really want health care and accessible university in California. I want the campaigns to be about the issues, not a personality fight. I want Liz as Sanders VP, a great combination.

Pretty sure Sander's plan would take forever to get going while preventing the easier and faster to acheive expansion of Obamacare.

about early voting. This AP announcement is not based on any actual early vote counts or same day vote counts.

Is akin to what Trump's people do. Please don't. In the words of the immortal Elijah Cummigs, we are better than that.

This is STILL about the issues, not the personalities.

Yes: It is a political contest and the final numbers add up to who gets to lead the party and the general election.

It is also about how we go forward and what direction forward is going to be. Not to mention how hard we are going to have to work to correct what is wrong, including healthcare, the Justice system, a thoroughly corrupt and inadequate economy, and oh, by the way, saving what is left of the planet.

It is not only about beating a madman and his thoroughly corrupt party, and all the illegal assistance from Putin, the Saudis and anyone with enough money to screw up the voting system.

I believe the later votes will change this somewhat. Bernie will probably win, though. Most of my friends voted for him, so I think he's popular out here.

At this point I'm hoping that Biden continues to increase his tallies to push Bloomberg below 15%. Then both Biden and Sanders would get even more delegates. But at 24% versus 33% it's kind of hard to call this other than a Bernie squeaker. Plus, not all the same day votes have been counted. The number of votes out could dramatically change the counts. So let's wait, shall we? Or at least not post this stuff here?

from being a total massacre, and Biden still might take a chunk out of those delegates
