Trump to take questions at 1st TV town hall of 2020 campaign
Source: AP
President Donald Trump will field questions at his first TV town hall of the 2020 election cycle Thursday in the city that helped to shape a would-be rival, former Vice President Joe Biden.
Trumps favorite network, Fox News, is hosting the live event in Scranton, Pennsylvania, a rare instance where the president will take questions from the public.
It will be Trumps first visit this year to Pennsylvania, a battleground state he won by about 44,000 votes in 2016. He did particularly well in northeastern Pennsylvania, where Scranton and Wilkes-Barre have long anchored a strong Democratic presence.
Thats home turf to Biden, who spent his first 10 years in Scranton before his family moved to Wilmington, Delaware.

(9,963 posts)The people asking questions will most likely be plants, with Trump knowing all the questions in advance so his handlers can coach him to respond with answers that might be somewhat coherent. It s after all a Fox event.

(5,641 posts)this sounds like it will have to be staged with pre-screen Trumpists. Too risky otherwise.

Of course Chump has to be on against prime time news on the major networks...can't have any of those MAGAts loitering at NBC, ABC or CBS even for a moment. Their eyes MUST be on their esteemed leader at all times.
Sounds like a whole lot of blather to me.

(4,929 posts)so the orange lardass will be coached and pretty much know the answers...but, because he is such a stable genius, his mind (if you want to call it that!) could get confused and answer a different question then the one asked. They also can't control his going off script. It might be fun to watch, but I can't stand listening to tangeranus voice!
