(20,866 posts)I cannot stay home and "wait it out".
I am caring for an 84-year old person.
I'm in crummy shape myself and over 60.
I had to go pick-up my RX's for the month.
Got a lot of strange looks as I was wearing and N95 mask.
Sorry if "they" do not like this as I do not like this either!

(25,183 posts)Can you get meds by mail? Or through a drive-in window at a pharmacy?

(20,866 posts)Thanks to this B.S. War on Drugs I must sign for each RX.
I had to wait 30 mins. for the pharmacist to return from his lunch break before I could pick them all up!

(25,183 posts)they send out a little clipboard with a place to sign, through the window. My pharmacy is in a section of the strip mall building that used to be a bank. They took out the second lane (the one that operates on pneumatic tubes) and just use the drawer to get you your stuff.
It's not perfect, but it does keep you away from contact with other customers of the pharmacy, at least. I wish you all the best.

(2,014 posts)In another 1-2 weeks, it will be everywhere. Despite event cancellations and large tech companies telling people to work from home (ok, white collar workers... the "lower level" employees will just have to take their chances), and other precautions, there is no containing this bug at this point. Act as if it's in your community right now. Because it is.
