Poll: Americans Don't Trust What They're Hearing From Trump On Coronavirus

Source: NPR

Americans have little trust in the information they are hearing from President Trump about the novel coronavirus, and their confidence in the federal government's response to it is declining sharply, according to a new NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll.

Just 46% of Americans now say the federal government is doing enough to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, down from 61% in February. Just 37% of Americans now say they had a good amount or a great deal of trust in what they're hearing from the president, while 60% say they had not very much or no trust at all in what he's saying.

The president rates worst of all groups tested, be it public health officials, state and local leaders or the news media. And more Americans disapprove of the president's handling of the pandemic than approve by a 49%-44% margin. But that does not differ greatly from his overall job approval rating, which stands at 43%.

That's largely unchanged from the last survey in February, and 51% still said they approve of the president's handling of the economy, despite the massive slides in the stock market of late related to the coronavirus. Public health officials got the highest level of trust at 84%, followed by those state and local leaders (72%). Americans were split 50% to 47% on whether they can trust information coming from the news media or not...

No wonder we are having so many people congregating together, the stupidity just burns in these fucking idiots and they are endangering the rest of us!

I am just so over all repugs. I can't get past the fact that the failed testing was assigned to family and that drumpf is s part owner in Joshua Kushner's business that was failing prior to this They are the assholes responsible for not producing nearly enough tests & the tests they sent were DEFECTIVE. Kushner & drumpf are the reason America is having this big of a problem, they put greed over the health of Americans and are totally happy with letting us die for their own gain. Now he's trying to gin up a huge payout for his hotels and for his big donors while he does nothing to help hospitals, first responders, or the American people because he only cares about himself and the ultra rich who give him big $$$.

Note the straight out propaganda use of "the president correctly said". It means shut up and love dear leader who is always right.

Trump coronavirus response will protect America’s economy, workers and businesses
Fox News ^ | March 11 2020 | Andy Puzder

Showing strong and effective leadership when we need it most,
President Trump addressed the nation Wednesday night and unveiled a
two-pronged program of health and economic actions to deal with the
coronavirus pandemic.

The president’s action plan should win bipartisan support to respond
to the most serious health and humanitarian crisis our nation has
faced in my nearly seven decades.

“We are all in this together,” the president correctly said. “We must
put politics aside, stop the partisanship.” He called on America to
fight the pandemic “together as one nation and one family.”

Note the typical racism.
(emphasis added)

The President has handled this thing brilliantly on every level.

The most significant action he took was to quarantine the United States by ordering the early travel restrictions. That was a bold and decisive move.

While Congress was busy making fools of themselves in January, President Trump was already prepping for China Flu.

There is nothing thus far to criticize. Dems have fired up yet another of their endless supply of exploding cigars. It’s what they do.

Minutes later the same person who posted the racist "China Flu" designation above complains about racism and calls it a hate crime which is something they don't believe exists.

Our side needs to stop feeding into the hysteria. We’re hurting ourselves and falling right into the trap. Another horrible side effect of overreaction peddling is the danger to innocent people. An Asian man was brutally assaulted recently, I don’t recall if he died. The thugs told him it was because of Coronavirus. Of course the media ignored that hate crime. It’s not useful. Keep it up and we’ll see plenty of that.

It's thuggery: 'Stop blaming tRump and we'll stop blaming Asians and beating them up.' It's not Democrats beating up Asian men.

I live in West Virginia, the one state that apparently has not one single case of coronavirus, even though every other state around us has confirmed cases. Who do they think they're kidding?

If we don't have any cases it's either because we're not testing or meth addiction is a preventative.
