(ANSA) - Milan, March 18 - Lombardy medical facilities will "soon" be unable to help new coronavirus cases, Governor Attilio Fontana said Wednesday urging everyone to stay at home.
"Unfortunately the numbers of the contagion are not falling, they continue to be high," he said. "We will soon be unable to give a response to those who fall ill".
"Stay at home: if you don't understand that we'll have to be more aggressive".

As the pandemic progresses, I am torn between feeling we are not doing enough and that there is not much we can really do.
But defeatism will not save any lives, so please encourage your members of Congress, Senators and local and state officials to respond with urgency and all resources at their disposal.

(4,742 posts)if the people have truley been staying home. The average incubation is about 5 days with the symptoms average another 7 to 8 days. They are in about day 10 so the people who are in the bad symptoms stage are probably coming in fast now. But at some point it has to subside. Hopefully soon.

(43,060 posts)who espoused the Book of Enoch, said God is really pissed and will come down from the heavens and punish mankind for all the pollution and fornication.
Yeah, I know. Thing is, he wasn't a Fundie, he was a former hippie who backpacked the world and was really off on the Enoch. Kept telling me to read it. I looked it up, but dropped it. It was excluded from the Bible. He said there's a reason. I don't know what he meant.
So maybe this is it. Maybe we just turn over the pandemic to religion. That's what the anti-science guys want to do.

(8,749 posts)I'll never understand why the Church insists on controlling sex. Looking at it from a Christian perspective, God made us this way, who are they to say God is pissed about people being fruitful and multiplying?
Pollution I get, that's 100% humanity's fault, we are trashing the garden built for us (again, speaking from a Christian perspective), but the sex thing makes no sense at all.
Now, putting my atheist hat back on, I know why, its about controlling women, but they can't say that so they make up convoluted bullshit hoping the flock is to stupid to notice.
