Florida Sen. Rick Scott: 'Get Off The Beach'

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN) — Florida Sen. Rick Scott had a strong message Thursday for those packing the beaches in the state amid the coronavirus outbreak: "Get off the beach."

"Unless you can figure out how to completely be isolated from anybody else, I mean, this is -- individuals have to take responsibility and every, every level of government has to be very clear, don't be on the beach unless you can be somehow completely by yourself," the former governor told CNN's John Berman on "New Day."

His comments echo those of health officials and Trump administration officials who continue to urge Americans to practice social distancing to limit the spread of the virus. The White House has issued guidance urging Americans to avoid groups of more than 10 people. On Wednesday, President Donald Trump and Dr. Deborah Birx, a member of the White House coronavirus task force, urged young people to adhere to the guidelines.

"I hope they just listen to what we've been saying over the last period of time. We don't want them gathering, and I see that they do gather including on beaches, and including in restaurants, young people," Trump said. - MORE (Auto Video)

Scott himself is in self- quarantine for over a week after meeting with a government official from Brazil with the illness.

Jesus H Christ, young people think they're immune from this, but in the US we're seeing A LOT of millennials in ICU--way more than in other countries for some reason. They're not only being stupid and selfish, they're in mortal danger.

ALL THE SHIT TALKING ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE.... but not much action in the right direction.

In fact, wasn't Tangerine Blowfeld undoing all the good from the Obama era, if he could?

Bringing back shitty old standards and polution plus whatever else the evil corporations want?

So I can see why some are just like, FUCK IT!

Meanwhile dumbfuckery continues regardless and dooms many.

Good luck!

I know, I know - there are 'innocents' in Florida, but DAMN! These kids are so freakin' inconsiderate.

As bad as I hate to see it, I'm convinced some members of their very own families will die due to their irresponsibility, not to mention other folks with which they come into contact.

It would be nice if the DNC would invest some energy in trying to fix the corrupt Election practices there.
Besides, it's mostly people from the rest of the country who are at the beaches.

asshole kids and the attending wave of positives when they come home. Keep them in FL in quarantine, refuse to allow them on an airplane where they will infect everyone.
DeSantis brought this on himself when he did not shut it down beforehand. He should bear the burden. NY has enough problems.

can fix how Florida runs their elections. It's pretty obvious that Floridians like their Republican representation. Every four years there's a little grumbling, but no one really cares until after the election, and then they blame the candidate.
