"They're being told not to send stuff to Michigan."

After President Donald Trump issued scathing comments about Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, saying she's "not stepping up," and "doesn't know what's going on," she told WWJ 950 the state is having trouble getting the equipment they need to fight the novel coronavirus.

"What I've gotten back is that vendors with whom we've procured contracts -- They're being told not to send stuff to Michigan," Whitmer said live on air. "It's really concerning, I reached out to the White House last night and asked for a phone call with the president, ironically at the time this stuff was going on."

The other stuff was Trump speaking with Sean Hannity on FOX News about Whitmer, a Democrat who has said very pointed things about the federal government's lack of coordinated response to the coronavirus crisis. Trump said of Whitmer, "She is a new governor, and it's not been pleasant ... "We've had a big problem with the young — a woman governor. You know who I'm talking about — from Michigan. We don't like to see the complaints."

Michigan's request for disaster assistance has not yet been approved by the White House, and Trump told Hannity he's still weighing it.

Bloomberg, Soros, Buffet, who have huge numbers of shares of these companies stocks, would call the CEO and say, "either get Michigan what they have contracted for, or I am going to dump every share of your stock I own. Let's see what happens to your stock value, then."

It certainly wouldn't be an effort to manipulate stocks higher for personal gain, but WOULD require the companies meet the contracts they signed.

Because if Michiganders (in this case) die because he blocks delivery of needed supplies to the State, Trump believes he can use it politically against the Governor. I know that won't work. And you know that won't work. But Trump lacks anything resembling perspective in these things and, therefore, likely thinks it will work.

Just watch. He will either absolutely block aid to Michigan or, after a while, when he feels the Governor has sweat enough, he'll release it. If the latter, his ad campaign will be along the lines of "President Trump, despite interference and personal attacks by the Governor who chose to politicize this very serious matter, released aid to the State and made sure it went to the people and places it was needed."

(If the former, he'll say the aid was available and he desperately wanted to send it but was blocked by the Governor at every turn. That, of course, would be an abject lie, and lying is what Trump does.)
