Trump: Coronavirus pandemic taught us 'I was right'

Source: The Hill

President Trump claimed in a new wide-reaching interview that that the “one thing” that the ongoing coronavirus pandemic “has taught us is that I was right.”

Trump told the New York Post that Americans are now focused on domestic manufacturing for a variety of products, including medicine currently produced in China.

“You know, I had people say, ‘No, no, it’s good. You keep — you do this and that.’ Now those people are really agreeing with me. And that includes medicine and other things, you know,” he said.

...

Trump also rejected a model from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention first reported by The New York Times suggesting that U.S. deaths will grow on a daily basis to 3,000 by the beginning of June.

“I know nothing about it. I don’t know anything about it. Nobody told me that. I think it’s — I think it’s false, I think it’s fake news.”

You said it would be zero
Then you said ..............more shit
Then you followed that with more shit and bragging about the deaths

And now if you do you believe this known fact the country is at over 69,000+ deaths or were you right.............it was and is zero

And has for this gem from your word salad of complete nonsense .....of being a fucking complete narcissistic lunatic......what's the last part of having a subjective sentence structure and speaking in a co·her·ent languge, what is the last thing you do to the sentence...........you don't ask for a "you know" if you don't know........you have a period.......

You know, I had people say, ‘No, no, it’s good. You keep — you do this and that.’ Now those people are really agreeing with me. And that includes medicine and other things, you know,” he said.

he was going to rebuild Berlin with the Soviet Army less then 2km away.

Or does he think what little machinery wasn't left to rust 30 years ago is still going to work? Or maybe the fairies and elves will set up shop here, especially the latter since the North Pole is melting. Or does he think this country's billionaires are suddenly going to provide seed money to entrepreneurs because the government is completely broken? Just how is he planning to do this, beyond pissing China off enough to cut off trade, meaning everything else will be broken and we'll all be wearing rags because, hey, we don't make cloth or shoes or car parts or much of anything else these days.?

Moron.

Remember when those were Republican gospel?!? Now they don't exist. Corporate interests had a hard one for opening trade with China back in the 90s since they had the biggest potential market in the world; 1B people to sell to and lots of room for growth.

Now I guess all that's out the window, we've decided to follow the old "India" (or North Korea) self sustaining model, which they don't even follow now. Higher prices are in the cards if we shift everything to the US side now. I also don't expect much in the form of worker protections or union type representation. In most instances, manufacturing will be directed towards "red" states, where wages would be lower and worker rights are more suppressed by friendly governments. Again, screw the blue states (with higher product costs) and less jobs.
