ROME — Italy’s former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has tested positive for the coronavirus after a precautionary check.

His press office says he's currently isolated in his Arcore residence, near Milan. He’ll continue to work from there as he completes the necessary quarantine period.

The three-time-premier and media tycoon had been recently pictured with his friend and businessman Flavio Briatore, who was recently hospitalized after testing positive for the coronavirus last month. The 83-year-old Berlusconi had tested negative at the time.

BTW, the third image is not Berlusconi. It is a frame from a satirical German film called "Bye, Bye, Berlusconi".

If looks could kill, Obama is glaring at the disrespect the neo-fascist is showing the First Lady.

12. Coronavirus: Italy ex-PM Silvio Berlusconi in hospital

Italy's former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, aged 83, is in hospital with early-stage double pneumonia after testing positive for coronavirus, the Italian news agency Ansa reports.

He spent the night in hospital in Milan for checks, having tested positive on Wednesday.

Earlier his right-wing Forza Italia party said his condition was not a cause for concern, and "he is fine".

The media tycoon's partner and two of his children also tested positive.

I have sympathy for his children. His partner? She knew what she was getting into. She only started dating him after coronavirus appeared:

Former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has split from his long-term girlfriend Francesca Pascale - reportedly for a woman 53 years his junior.

The 83-year-old self-styled godfather of Italian politics is said to be dating 30-year-old Marta Antonia Fascina, an MP from his party.

That is four years younger than Ms Pascale.

"Fascina"? Yes, that really does mean what the "fasces" was made from - the bundle of wood with an axe, that symbolised Roman power, and thus what "fascism" comes from: https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/italian-english/fascina . This is nominative determinism.
