Trump blasts retired U.S. Marine Corps Gen. John Kelly
Source: Local 10
WASHINGTON During a news conference on Friday afternoon at the White House, President Donald Trump criticized retired U.S. Marine Corps Gen. John F. Kelly, the former White House chief of staff and former Secretary of Homeland Security.
Trump said Kelly was unable to handle the pressure of his job at the White House. He said Kelly did not do a good job, was unable to function and he was exhausted by the time he left the job in January 2019.
I know John Kelly. He was with me. He had no temperament, Trump said, adding Kelly bad mouths him.
Trump said the new report by The Associated Press confirming The Atlantics recent report is a hoax and a continuation of the witch hunt. Both reports allege sources heard Trump make disparaging remarks about members of the U.S. military who had been captured or killed.

Wow. By blasting Kelley as the source of the leak, isn't Trump actually validating that he made the disparaging remarks regarding soldiers?

(6,455 posts)I don't know about you, but he said it directly to me when he disparaged McCain on national television.
As a matter of fact, since all of my family has been involved in national defense each generation, he said it to my whole family.
That lack of respect for the military is now going to bite him in his large, puffy, golfing ass. Cadet Bonespurs doesn't add up to McCain's little toe. Somewhere, McCain is laughing.
Do we really have to pay money to protect him after he is ousted? I don't want to spend any more money on him.

i don't think he'll be able to take an SS contingent into prison with him though. that should ease the burden somewhat.

Wow. He's actually validating the story and making it worse.

(17,382 posts)If it is fake news, then there is no actual source. It can literally be anyone, but to then name the specific source that was in a position and place to validate the story suggests that it is true and Trump is trying to get out in front of the story by discrediting Kelley because Trump is afraid that Kelley will verify the Atlantic story.

Prior to joining the Trump administration in January 2017, Kelly had been on the board of advisors of DC Capital Partners, an investment firm that now owns Caliburn. Following his departure from the White House in January 2019, Kelly joined the board of directors for Caliburn International. He was seen in April 2019 touring the facilities of Homestead Temporary Shelter for Unaccompanied Children, operated by Caliburn subsidiary Comprehensive Health Services, Inc.
Don't hold your breath for Kelly to do the right thing.

(10,089 posts)The pressure is building and he just cant keep his mouth shut. I guess since hes BSed his way out of so many things he thinks he can do it again. He amazingly thinks hes smarter than everyone else so if they try talking him into shutting up for awhile hell just double down again.
SergeStorms
(19,182 posts)he can differentiate his lies from the truth. To him they're all the same. He truly is a psychopath.
captain queeg
(10,089 posts)Is that the definition of psychopath? He really believes his own lies. I usually think he just lies to try to get out of any responsibility, but I think once he says something that automatically becomes truth for him. Part of it is no one calls him on his lies. All the people around him allow him to hide in his bubble. Also he thinks everyone else is stupid and hes so smart he can change peoples minds. Im sure his enablers just decide its not worth fighting with him and just drop it. In his mind he actually convinced them. He doesnt realize how much they appease him just to end the conversation.
Stuart G
(38,410 posts)The bubble will be exploded and he will finally see the truth: The only person he has fooled is Donald Trump.
...Donald Trump will find out that he "convinced no one"..and he is not so smart that he can lie, and lie
and lie some more...and ...get away with it After the 4th or 5th lie, people become suspicious of the
liar. And Trump has lied about many things, not 4 or 5, but many dozens, and perhaps hundreds. He has no limits. But the limits will be set for good the evening of November 3rd.

(38,410 posts)he will lose by at least 10,000,000 in my opinion. He will lose at least 40 of 50 states, then the shit will
be served and he will have to eat. The only place that will interview him is "Fox News"..and many will
not pay for his speaking fees. But after the election, which he will call "a hoax" , more will happen.
Trump and some of his crew, will be charged with a number of crimes which is just another of my opinions (among many). Eating shit after losing the election will be very tough for Donald and it will hurt a lot. ............
.............and you are also correct....and then he will die.
