Suspect detained for allegedly sending ricin-tainted letter to White House
Source: NBC News
WASHINGTON -- A suspect who allegedly sent a letter containing the deadly poison ricin to the White House was detained trying to enter the United States from Canada, a federal law enforcement official said Sunday.
Additional information about the person was not immediately available. The suspect was detained by Customs and Border Protection agents, a federal law enforcement official said. The FBI said Saturday that it was investigating a suspicious letter addressed to President Donald Trump that had been intercepted.
It wasn't clear when the letter was sent or where it was intercepted. Law enforcement officials said the poison, which is highly toxic and can cause nausea, vomiting, organ failure and death, was detected at an off-site facility that screens mail addressed to the White House.
The ricin was confirmed in field and laboratory tests.

(43,123 posts)Sounds like Canadian authorities will want to know a few things from her as well. How did they solve this so fast?
Either a false flag event to drum up public sympathies and paranoia, or this woman gets an 'F' at spycraft. I suspect it's the latter.

Next up: a grazed buttock?
"I'm alright folks," Orange Amin will tweet from a hospital bed. "The Mexican culprit was apprehended, and was found with tons of Biden campaign materials."

Naughty, but understandable.
If it is a fake 'poor Donald!' attempt, expect more of the same.

(407 posts)But even as a Canadian I am leaning to the side of this is more of a case of stupid than anything more sinister. Although I am curious about where the ricin came from.
She seriously thought that a "head of state" will personally handle packages sent by random people? A natural born genius.
