Leaked U.S. government files suggest Deutsche Bank tops list of suspicious transactions

Source: CNBC

Germany’s largest lender Deutsche Bank appears to have facilitated more than half of the leaked $2 trillion of suspicious transactions that were flagged to the U.S. government over nearly two decades, reported German broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW).

Those documents showed that between 1999 and 2017, $1.3 trillion of $2 trillion in leaked transactions that were flagged as suspicious passed through Deutsche Bank, according to the DW report.

The leaked documents contained suspicious activity reports that banks and other financial institutions filed with the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, or FinCEN.

Deutsche Bank's Frankfurt headquarters.

The recent FinCEN revelations - first published by the ICIJ (best known for the 2016 panama Papers) - show that Deutsche Bank accounts for more than half the $2 trillion of suspicious transactions flagged to the U.S. government over nearly two decades.

and their role in circumventing sanctions on Iran. NBC is the only US network to give this even the barest mention, and that's about money laundering for N. Korea in US banks.

Together with the Panama Papers, this whole stinking thing could be blown to smithereens. It needs to be, but no one wants to take that first step, the big banks are all too dependent on the easy money to survive even timid regulation.

Kudos to the BBC for giving Buzzfeed credit for breaking the story today.

The only bank that would loan to Trump.

The bank Trump sued...

That bank financed Trump Tower Chicago.....

Trump has never filled the 3-Levels of retail space and in fact, get tax write-offs because of the vacancy.

Deutsche bank, if this is true to the extent that we all believe, then why in hell ain't the German people and especially Chancellor Merkel investigating this shit? I think Trumpte has dissed her enough for her to come out and do something about these "CHARGES". UNLESS, she's somehow involved...
