A 'distressed' Birx questions how long she can remain on White House task force, sources say

Source: CNN

(CNN)Once a fixture at the administration's coronavirus briefings, Dr. Deborah Birx has confided to aides and friends that she has become so unhappy with what she sees as her diminished role as coordinator of the White House coronavirus task force that she is not certain how much longer she can serve in her position, sources familiar with her thinking tell CNN.

Birx has told people around her that she is "distressed" with the direction of the task force, describing the situation inside the nation's response to the coronavirus as nightmarish.

According to people familiar with her thinking, Birx views Dr. Scott Atlas, a recent addition to the task force, as an unhealthy influence on President Donald Trump's thinking when it comes to the virus.

"The President has found somebody who matches what he wants to believe," a source close to Birx said of her view of Atlas's relationship with Trump. "There is no doubt that she feels that her role has been diminished."

They're in it for the (orange?) Lord and their bizarre religious ideology. Birx doesn't like being upstaged by Atlas. Boo hoo.

she seems more concerned with the fact that her role has been diminished, than she is about the effects of the coronavirus on Americans. I would be more impressed if she was expressing "distress" about all the lost lives and suffering because of this president's decisions. Of course, this is a third person's account of her feelings, so she might actually care about the sick and dying. She might want to start speaking out more like Dr. Fauci has.

“I don’t have confidence in anyone who stands there while the president says, ‘Swallow Lysol and it’s going to cure your virus,’” Pelosi told CNN about Birx,

Birx was/is more concerned about shopping for designer scarfs & her religious life than protecting us from the Virus, or standing up and doing what was right for the American People.....

If she truly had any devotion to her quasi-job, she would have stood up and walked off the stage when Trump started doing first grade science freelancing about a cure. THAT would have made a powerful video for Biden's campaign, played over and over ad nausea....
Trump's remarks were like take disinfectant internally?????????? Shove a light bulb up your who-who ??????????????

The Dems sadly have had no powerful person or people to organize and direct others or the party............

I regret having to say that, but it is reality......Biden is working at it, but it is a slow and late start........

Right now the Dems should be standing by, ready and organized for the nefarious "Republican October Surprise" the RepubliCONs are known for. pulling...
