Prosecutors drop charges against Patriots owner Robert Kraft after cops bungled sex sting

Source: SOUTH FLORIDA SUN SENTINEL

Florida prosecutors on Thursday dropped all criminal charges against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, ending a flawed case that began with a police prostitution sting using secret video cameras at a Palm Beach County massage parlor early last year.

State Attorney Dave Aronberg is scheduled to explain the decision during a 2:30 p.m. news briefing.

Last month, a state appellate court sided with Kraft’s arguments that Jupiter police unlawfully recorded the part-time Palm Beach resident with his clothes off at Orchids of Asia Day Spa on Jan. 19, 2019, and Jan. 20, 2019.

In charging Kraft, prosecutors said he paid in cash and then got naked for sex acts. The videotaping at the business lasted for five days, leading to the solicitation of prostitution charges against Kraft, 79, and 24 other men.

And keeping it illegal does nothing to stop sex trafficking either.

[Trump reportedly advised kraft to never plea bargain. Assured kraft he would get off ok. Also 'the prostitutes' were subsistence exploited].

Those convicted in Abscam would love to know.

I missed the sting aspect in "American Hustle". It was a big issue at the time, lost to history.

This was an illegal and hamfisted operation from the start. They recorded everything, and the operation ran for months at multiple locations.

They recorded woman naked who got legal massages. they recorded men they never charged.

What's next, a camera in your bedroom or bathroom because they suspect you of something?

This was wrong from the inception to the end. The police should be prosecuted.

And while he is a pig, a cheat, and a fool, the cops never should have run that operation.

The only reason kraft got some justice is he has unlimited funds to fight it. The police count on you not having the resources to push back.

I wonder if the other 24 defendants will have the charges dropped.

This shitshow ends with guillotines in the public square if you keep this unequal justice on steroids in place.

Us pogues can only take so much.

You better fix your shit, or the American people will fix it for you.
